Funeral Celebrant
Across Brisbane, Redlands and surrounds
As your Funeral Celebrant, Jacqui promises to craft a ceremony that will reflect the individuality and unique story of the person who had died, or the loss you are experiencing.
Funerals and Memorials
Being Available
As your Funeral Celebrant Jacqui will make herself available for you to contact if you wish to discuss anything further about the ceremony prior to completion of the ceremony. It is important that you have the opportunity to let Jacqui know if there is anything additional that you would like to include.
Additional Support
Jacqui is able to also participate at the committal of your loved one’s body (at the grave site if there is to be a burial).
GIFT TO YOU: Prior to the ceremony, Jacqui will provide one completed e-copy of the Ceremony to the deceased person’s main contact person, so that they have a written memory of the Ceremony.
Introductory Discussion
This no-obligation discussion provides the opportunity to connect with Jacqui and discuss your options.
CRAFTING A CEREMONY: Once you have confirmed that you would like Jacqui to be your Celebrant, she will arrange a meeting with you to gain an understanding of the person and/ or the loss you are experiencing. Then together you can both craft the ceremony to make it a special and unique experience. This also allows you to decide if you or any other members of the family or friends would like to be included in participating in some of the elements of the ceremony.
You have enough to think about…
The role of the Funeral Celebrant is similar to a ‘master of ceremonies’.
Jacqui works with families and friends to co-create a ceremony or memorial service that is authentic, memorable and also reduces some of the emotional load that occurs during this time of loss. By doing this you are able to take a breath and just be part of the ceremony experience for your person.
The Sharing of Stories
The true essence of an authentic ceremony is the sharing of stories by family and friends. Whether a more formal eulogy or the sharing of life memories, Jacqui’s manner is calm and reassuring as she guides and co-crafts a ceremony with you.
ENGAGING WITH OTHERS: Sharing elements of the ceremony e.g. readings, song & rituals can be a great privilege and an honour as it provides a way of personalising your loved one’s ‘story’.

Choosing Your Own Celebrant
You are able to choose any Funeral Celebrant that you want. It is really important to know that you can choose your own Funeral Celebrant e.g. Your Funeral Director may have not met her before, but should you choose Jacqui as your Funeral Celebrant, then you just need to advise them that you would like Jacqui to be your Funeral Celebrant. It is all about you choosing someone who ‘feels right’ for you and is someone who you connect positively with.
